ABOUT TAIKO

The Arizona Matsuri Taiko Stage is, once again, filled with Taiko excitement!

Kumi-daiko, or group drumming, is a traditional and dynamic expression of community, faith, dedication, joy and celebration, a cornerstone of Matsuri/festivals throughout Japan.

No Matsuri is complete without the sounds and visuals of Taiko groups performing their hearts out! Spend a few minutes, or a few hours, immersing yourself in the vibrations and energy of Taiko. Audience hands-on drumming opportunities throughout both days are unforgettable memories to add to your Arizona Matsuri experience!
